Akshay Dandekar Excels in Thrilling Role for 'Keh Doon Tumhein' TV Series

Actor Akshay Dandekar, known for his role as SI Amol Jadhav in "Keh Doon Tumhein" (KDT), a production of Vajra Productions, is excited about the show's intriguing plot that sets it apart from other thrillers in the genre.

The title "Keh Doon Tumhein" was thoughtfully chosen, inspired by a famous Hindi song. Akshay explains, "It reflects the dilemma of our protagonist, Vikrant Deshmukh, also known as Sarkar, portrayed by Mudit Nayar. It literally means 'should I tell you the secret or not?' Sarkar has been concealing many secrets, mainly from Kirti Shukla, and the show revolves around how he keeps his secret hidden."

This thriller marks Akshay's second venture in the genre, following his previous work in the Hindi thriller film "Fashion House." In "Keh Doon Tumhein," he plays SI Amol Jadhav, a lazy, food-loving police officer who plays a significant role in Sarkar's ability to continue his serial killings. Akshay's real-life personality contrasts with his character, describing himself as a serious and introverted individual. Still, he enjoys portraying the humorous character of Jadhav on screen.

The show's scenic backdrop in Panchgani adds to the charm of the experience for Akshay. He says, "Panchgani is a very scenic hill station, and the weather is soothing throughout the year. We are yet to experience extreme cold in winters, which I am sure is going to be fun. Moreover, on off days, our gang tries to explore the surroundings and posts reels and videos on our Instagram handles."

Working with Vajra Production for the first time, Akshay is appreciative of the production team's support and care. He adds, "We don't feel homesick as this place has become our second home."

The show has received positive responses, which encourage Akshay to perform at his best. He highlights the intriguing plot that has been maintained from the first episode as a key factor that sets "Keh Doon Tumhein" apart from other thrillers.

Reflecting on the evolution of the TV industry, Akshay notes, "The making of TV shows has drastically improved, and new Indian Television is successfully trying to match the quality of its shows to cater to an evolved audience that enjoys global content on their mobile devices."
