Earlier, the Ajmer court had convicted all 6 people under POCSO. In Ajmer, the then Youth Congress president Farooq Chishti and his companions used to call girls in the name of parties in farmhouses and restaurants and rape them.

Big decision came today in the case of sexual harassment of more than 100 girls in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The special court of Ajmer has sentenced 6 accused to life imprisonment. At the same time, a fine of 30 lakhs has been imposed on all the accused. Earlier, the Ajmer court had convicted all 6 people under POCSO.

It was in the year 1992 that nude pictures of college-going girls were circulated in the city. There were 18 accused in this case out of which nine were pronounced sentences today. The judgment by the court was regarding Fees Chishti, Salim Chishti, Sohail Ghani, Jamil Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, and Tarzan.

In this case, the accused Anwar Chishti, Farooq Chishti, Parvez Ansari, Moinullah alias Puttan Allahabadi, Ishrat alias Lalli, Kailash Soni, Mahesh Ludhani, Shamshu Chishti alias Maradona and Tarzan were arrested.

Farooq Chishti, Youth Congress President of Ajmer, and his associates used to call girls in the name of parties in farmhouses and restaurants and rape them after giving intoxicants. Thereafter, they used to take nude pictures of the girls. The accused used to blackmail the girls and pressure them to bring other girls with them.

Only some girls raised their voices against the incident. At the same time, police also developed cold feet to take action on this matter. When some girls complained to the police about this incident, they started getting threats. However, as many as 18 victims gave their statements in court.
