After 9 years, Nepal made place in T20 World Cup, Oman also qualified
Nepal and Oman qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024: Nepal and Oman have qualified for next year's T20 World Cup. Both teams achieved this feat by reaching the finals of the Asia Qualifiers. While Oman defeated Bahrain by 10 wickets, Nepal defeated UAE by eight wickets.
Nepal has qualified for the T20 World Cup 2023 to be held in West Indies and America next year. The team will be seen playing in the T20 World Cup after 9 years. Earlier, the Nepal cricket team had qualified in 2014.
Nepal made it to the T20 World Cup by defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 8 wickets in the semi-finals of the Asia Qualifier. Apart from Nepal, Oman has also qualified for the T20 World Cup. In the second semi-final match, Oman defeated Bahrain by 10 wickets and made it to the final of the Asia Qualifier.
This will be Nepal's second and Oman's third T20 World Cup. While Nepal played the 2014 T20 World Cup, Oman played the 2016 and 2021 T20 World Cups. Now 18 teams have qualified for next year's T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and USA. The remaining two teams will be determined by the Africa Qualifiers.
18 teams have qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024. West Indies is the host and America is the host. Apart from this, India, Australia, England, Netherlands New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, Canada, Nepal, and Oman have qualified. Apart from this, two more teams will qualify. Let us tell you that a total of 20 teams will enter the T20 World Cup 2024 and a total of 55 matches will be played.
