AFAA honored Ramesh Narayan with 'Honorary Life Member Award'

The Executive Committee of the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA) has unanimously decided to honor industry veteran Ramesh Narayan with the Honorary Life Member Award.

It is noteworthy that AFAA is an international association for the development and support of Asia's advertising industry. Its objective is to promote and preserve advertising in the conditions and different cultures prevailing in the Asian region.

Narayan is extremely proud of this award and reacting to it, he said, “I accept this recognition with all humility. I am grateful to all those who have contributed to the industry in different capacities over the years. "has helped me to serve."

“Most importantly, I have been able to strengthen my relationships around the world because of these industry associations,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, AFAA President Srinivasan Swamy said, “This recognition is being given by Narayan for establishing AFAA as a strong industry body across Asia. It is a token of appreciation for his hard work for 23 years. There is a small symbol. In all those things which others keep thinking, they have made their own identity with hard work.

Swamy said, “Ramesh is known for his honesty and truthfulness. He has many friends and can easily influence people with his words.

The nomination of Ramesh Narayan describes him as someone who has selflessly served AFAA and shaped several policies. He is believed to have kept AFAA in good stead as an industry body.

Narayan has also played an important role in other organizations like the International Advertising Association. He also served as Area Director of APAC for the International Advertising Association and has become the first choice for all chapters in many regions. He is also credited with conceiving the Olive Crown Awards.

In 2021, Narayan was inducted into the AFAA Hall of Fame. He has also been awarded the AFAA Special Merit Award at AdAsia Bali. He has been inducted into the IAA India Chapter Hall of Fame. He has been recognized as a Global Champion by the IAA at its Inspire Awards in London and awarded the IAA Honorary Membership Compass Award.

Narayan was included in the three-member committee nominated by the Supreme Court to monitor government advertising in India. They believe that what is good is good for business.
