Adani will bid for more airports in the country

Adani Airports, a company of Adani Group, will bid for more airports in the coming days. The company's CEO Arun Bansal told on Wednesday that the company wants to increase the number of its airports. Talking about the company's plan, he further said that more than a dozen airports are expected to be privatized in the next few years, and we will participate in their bidding.
Speaking at the Center for Aviation Summit, Bansal said that Adani Airports is working on setting up an aviation institute. He also said that under the first phase, Navi Mumbai airport will start operations by December 2024. The first phase of Navi Mumbai airport will have a passenger handling capacity of 20 million.
Adani Airports is the largest airport operator company in the country. Right now he has command of 7 airports in the country. Apart from Mumbai airport, Adani also has 6 other major airports, which include Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mangaluru, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram airports. Their management is with Adani Group only. After winning the bidding in 2019, the group has the responsibility to operate these airports for the next 50 years.
To make air travel more convenient, Adani Group launched a consumer app 'Adani One' in December last year. Through this app, many facilities like booking flights, flight status, cab booking and airport lounge booking are available in one place. This app has been downloaded more than 5 lakhs so far.
