A hearing was held in Delhi's Patiala House Court on Wednesday in the matter of urinating on a female co-passenger in an Air India flight. Accused Shankar Mishra said in court that he could not control himself while drunk, but opening the zip of the pants was not for sexual desire.
Advocate Manu Sharma, appearing for Shankar Mishra, said that only one non-bailable offence is mentioned in the FIR, others are bailable offences. The complainant in the case has not described him as a promiscuous person. The trial will take time, but after these allegations, Shankar Mishra has been dismissed from the job. They are not at flight risk. The lawyer said that Shankar Mishra has voluntarily participated in the inquiry related to the incident. They will assist the police in the investigation.
Delhi Police opposes Shankar Mishra's bail plea. Police said that if he is released on bail, he can influence the complainant.
After this, the court reserved the verdict on the bail plea of the accused Shankar Mishra. Here, the Delhi Police has also challenged the order of the Magistrate Court, in which Shankar Mishra was denied custody.
A drunk passenger was caught urinating at the Delhi airport gate. According to media reports, the matter is on January 8 at 5:30 pm. The youth had come to the airport from Indira Gandhi International Airport to go to Saudi Arabia. He started urinating openly near gate number 6 of departure.
When another passenger tried to stop him, he started quarrelling and abusing people. Due to this, he complained. Police and CISF team reached the spot and arrested a youth named Johar Ali Khan. A case was registered against him under sections 294 and 510 of the IPC. However, later the youth was released on bail.
