5th Global Film Tourism Conclave
Films are an important pacesetter for the society and they should have a local approach to reach out to local audiences easily; this could lead to a transformative and more acquainted society, added the Hon'ble Minister.
While appreciating PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry for organising the 5th Global Film Tourism Conclave, Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Minority Affairs, Government of India, mentioned it as a pronounced initiative to make India , most attractive filmmaking destination globally said, , India has everything the industry needs to thrive: diversified landscape, resources and immense potential .

He urged all industry members and other stakeholders to work together in this journey to build up a strong and resilient environment for Film toruism to grow at a faster pace.
Mr. Arvind Singh (IAS), Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, mentioned about the significant impact of films on the society. Industry is one of the major source of generating employment in the country. Post pandemic tourism will be at rampant speed and can be expected back on track by March 2023.
This is a very impactful industry with double digit growth. Cultural heritages, wildlife , scenic beauty and diversified landscape make our country attractive destination globally. Suitable policy has been prepared to facilitate shooting, added Mr Singh
We are also committed to support state & other stakeholders to promote the industry & tourism together. We should join hands & contribute together to benefit the country’s tourism & Economy, both, added Mr Singh.

Dr. Sujit Kumar Dutta, Secretary, Animal Welfare Board of India, talked about the rules and regulations made to make process and shooting easier and convenient for the filmmakers. We have a committee for the same to support the industry to facilitate ease in film making. Movies have a great impact on society ,so cruel and harsh scenes are avoided so that society is less impacted. Government is working in this direction by significant initiatives and schemes for the industry, said Dr. Sujit Kumar Dutta.
Mr. Ravinder Bhakar, CEO, Central Board of Film Certification & Managing Director, National Film Development Corporation mentioned that films play an important role in the society. Contribution of the industry is immense in the country’s economic growth. Where the movies are shot people want to visit the same location where there favorite stars shot the scene which in turn create great tourism opportunities for the destination.
Permission is easily granted to both domestic & international film makers to make the shooting process easier. He also mentioned that the government is also working on incentives and packages for the film making industry for increasing distribution bandwidth and promotion of tourism.
The only concern is exploitation of the destination which should be treated more sensitively said Mr. Ravinder Bhakar
