On the very first day of the new year, there have been three terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. A case of snatching of an AK-47 rifle from a CRPF jawan came to light in Pulwama's Rajpora area on Sunday morning. At the same time, terrorists opened indiscriminate firing in Rajouri late in the evening, in which two people died. On the other hand, in Srinagar's Hawal Chowk on Sunday, terrorists attacked the bunker of CRPF's 28 battalions with a grenade. Security forces have been alerted after these attacks.
Terrorists fired indiscriminately in Dangri village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. In this, 3 people died and 5 people were injured. Security forces have reached the spot. A search operation has been started in the surrounding area.
On the other hand, in Srinagar's Hawal Chowk on Sunday, terrorists attacked the bunker of CRPF's 28 battalions with a grenade. He missed his target and the grenade exploded on the road. Due to this, a civilian Sameer Ahmet Malla was injured. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The police have cordoned off the area.
Earlier on Sunday morning at 11:45 am, a case of snatching of an AK-47 rifle from a CRPF jawan came to light in the Rajpora area of the Pulwama district of South Kashmir. After this, the security forces laid siege to the area and started searching for the terrorists. However, by the evening the young man who snatched the rifle was taken by his family members to the police station and returned the rifle.
The security forces have appreciated that family. The youth who snatched the rifle has been identified as 25-year-old Irfan Bashir Ghani. Army officials said that the terrorists had snatched an AK-47 rifle from a jawan of the 183 Battalion.
