Woman killed, 24 injured after DTC bus rams into metro pillar

Vichitra Veer, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), stated that at about 7.42 a.m., the Punjabi Bagh Police Station received a PCR report about a bus collision near Shivaji Park on Rohtak Road. The authorities involved reacted to the call, and when they arrived, they discovered that an electric bus traveling between Mongolpuri and Anand Vihar had collided with a metro pillar nearby. As the bus driver applied the brakes suddenly, an auto-rickshaw collided with the bigger vehicle from behind.

According to the authorities, the lady was slain, and a 55 year old man is in critical condition. According to the police, 14 of the 24 injured passengers were transferred to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, while the remaining ten were taken to Acharya Bhikshu.

According to a police official, a complaint of reckless driving and causing death by negligence has been filed against the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and a crime team has been deployed at the location to gather forensic samples. The officer also noted that a mechanical inspection of the car was ongoing.
