Shalmali Kholgade will perform at Zomaland Indore, India’s premier food and entertainment carnival, on March 23, 2025. Known for her powerhouse vocals and genre-defying artistry, Shalmali will bring her signature live experience, ‘This Is Me,’ to the festival—a performance designed to introduce audiences to her music beyond Bollywood.
Expressing her excitement about the upcoming performance, Shalmali shares:
“It’s been three months of slowly building the show we’re about to put up at Zomaland in Indore. I’ve always wanted my live show to be played at festivals. But in all these years, the only festival I played was the Bollywood Music Project. Despite releasing two independent albums and several singles over the last five years, I didn’t get to showcase myself at a non-film music festival. Bagging a spot at Zomaland meant proving to festival programmers what they have missed all these years.
We have a show that is entertaining and engaging from the word go. The show is called ‘This Is Me’—the intention is for my audience to get to know me better and beyond just my Bollywood identity. As such, the show has my independent and Bollywood work and also some unreleased music. I sing, dance, and play guitar in the show. It’s everything I’ve wanted to do!”
Shalmali’s recent performances, including her outstanding performance at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and her successful ‘This Is Me’ India tour in 2024, have been a testament to her artistic evolution. From captivating audiences with Pareshaan (Ishaqzaade) and Balam Pichkari (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) to her independent music, she has seamlessly navigated Bollywood and the indie music scene with her dynamic vocal presence.
