2025 Yamaha YZF-R15 launched in Indonesian market, know how different it is from India
The Indonesian-spec 2025 Yamaha R15 gets smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth which is already available in the India-spec version. Other details on the YZF-R15 remain unchanged. The bike draws power from a 155 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation technology (VVT). It also has more features than the Yamaha R3. The model gets an assist and slipper clutch and a quick-shifter.
Yamaha has introduced the 2025 YZF-R15 in the Indonesian market, bringing updates to the motorcycle for the new model year. The 2025 Yamaha R15 for Indonesia gets new color options as well as feature updates. There are no changes to the mechanicals in the full-faired motorcycle. It is worth mentioning that the features now offered on the Indonesian-spec R15 are already available on the Indian model.
Bluetooth connectivity on a smartphone has already been provided for the India-spec 2025 Yamaha R15. Even better, this feature comes together with a digital instrument console and connected tech such as onboard diagnostics, ride tracking, periodic maintenance reminders, and more through its Y-Connect mobile app.
Color options for the new R15 include an all-black color scheme, available alongside existing Racing Blue, Grey & Black, and Grey & Silver.
Other details on the YZF-R15 have been carried over. It is powered by a 155 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with Variable Valve Actuation Technology or VVT. The engine puts out 19 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm at 8,500 rpm with a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike gets inverted telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. For brakes, the motorcycle comes with discs on both ends and dual-channel ABS. On the other hand, the India-spec model gets traction control as well, but the same is not available on the Indonesian motorcycle.
This motorcycle also gets some more features compared to the Yamaha R3. It gets an assist and slipper clutch and a quick-shifter. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and gets an 11-litre fuel tank.
R15's prices in India lie between Rs 1.83 lakh and Rs 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle finds a lot of takers and is the third best-selling motorcycle for the brand.
