10 interviews for a dairy booth in Jaipur: four shortlisted for one booth, 2252 out of 11 thousand 235 reserved
A lottery of applications for 563 dairy booths in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater Area was drawn this afternoon. 4 applicants have been shortlisted for one booth i.e. four times the number of dairy booths will be allotted. These selected people will now be called for interview from 10th April.
The lottery was drawn at Municipal Corporation Greater Headquarters in the presence of Commissioner Mahendra Soni and Additional Commissioner Praveen Meel. A total of 19 thousand 905 applications were received for 563 dairy booths in the Greater Area. After scrutiny of these applications, after rejecting more than 7 thousand applications, a lottery will be drawn from the remaining 11 thousand 235 applications.
In the lottery held today by the Municipal Corporation, four times the number of 563 i.e. 2252 people have been shortlisted. The lottery was drawn category-wise (ST, SC, Divyang, Ex-Servicemen and General). Because booths are also reserved category-wise. These shortlisted applicants will now be called for an interview very soon and allotment will be done on the basis of marks (s) obtained in the interview i.e. booth will be allotted to those who will get more marks.
Hridesh Kumar, director of the Directorate of Self-Government, issued an order last month setting March 30 as the last date for applying for dairy booths. While orders were issued to draw the lottery for these applications on April 4. But the lottery could not take place on 4th April.
Out of 563 places marked by Municipal Corporation for dairy booth allocation, traffic police have issued NOC for 422 places, but NOC has not been issued for 141 places so far. Yesterday Municipal Corporation Greater Mahendra Soni wrote a letter to DCP Traffic seeking NOC for 141 marked places.
